How to play Daisy

Daisy is a daily word chain game. Everyone gets the same starting word, and you have 60 seconds to build the longest chain you can. Every new word must begin with the last letter of the word before it, so daisy could lead to yellow, then wander, then rope.

The first letter of each word is filled in for you, so you only type the rest. Words must be at least three letters long, real English words, and used only once. Long words earn bonus points, and words that few other players thought of earn a rarity bonus of up to ten points each.

A new starting word appears every day at midnight UK time. Your result joins the daily leaderboard, and your streak grows each day you play any of the cyber-jack dailies.

Daisy FAQ

What is a word chain game?

A word chain (sometimes called a last-letter game, or shiritori in Japan) links words so that each starts with the last letter of the one before. Daisy turns it into a 60-second daily challenge with the same start word for everyone.

How is Daisy scored?

A point per letter, plus 3 at seven letters and another 3 at nine, plus up to 10 rarity points per word depending on how few players used it that day.

Any tips?

Aim for words that end in friendly letters such as E, S, T or R, and steer clear of endings like X or Q that leave you stuck.

Can I play past days?

Yes. The archive keeps the last seven starting words, playable just for fun.
