Hearsay is a daily who-said-it quiz. You get one famous line, told only whether it comes from a film, a TV show, a book or a play, and the year. Name the work.
Start typing a title and pick it from the list: the list is the same every day and holds hundreds of titles, so it never gives the game away. Six wrong titles and the answer is shown.
Stuck? Climb the clue ladder: the genre, who says it, a credit (director, creator or author), and finally the first letters of the title. If one of those would give the work away, the title's length stands in.
Naming the work is worth 1,000, minus 150 for each clue and 100 for each wrong title (never below 100). On bonus days (when the work has several well-known characters), name it without the who-says-it clue and a bonus round asks which character said it, for 200 more.
Short, well-known lines from films, TV series, books and plays. Each one is checked word for word against a reliable source and credited when you finish.
